Kit mega blow out sale!

Hey everybody ....  Like so many of you, it seems like I'm daily making plans and then watching them change pretty much overnight.

I learned a long time ago not to worry about the things I can not change,
but to focus on the things I can change.

So I have a tote of leftover kits from back when I did in-person events and shows (It seems like a million years ago - but really it was just last year!).  Since I don't know when my next in-person event will be, I'm ready to send these kits onto a new home where they will be loved and enjoyed - ideally your home!
There aren't many - so once they are gone, they are gone.
In other words, Don't Wait!  Buy NOW!

And as an added bonus - all kits are 15% off until July 31 with code KIT15

And FREE shipping

I just can't make this deal any sweeter :)

Even if you aren't interested for yourself - wouldn't one of these make the perfect gift for a quilting friend!

Benartex Christmas in July Blog Hop - The Winterberry Collection

Hi!  Welcome to my blog!  If we haven't met before, I'm Nancy Scott of Masterpiece Quilting. I'm a quilt pattern designer, author and online class instructor.
As part of Benartex's Christmas in July project hop, I am super excited to share the Winterberry collection by Cheryl Haines of Prairie Grove Peddler with you. We live in a woods and have lots of cardinals year round, so as soon as I saw this collection I knew I wanted to make a quilt with it.   Plus it has a panel and well, you know me and panels have a lovely relationship :)

I made two projects that I can't wait to share with you.

First - my Block & Tackle quilt pattern.  I designed this popular pattern 3 years ago and have been wanting to give it an update but struggled to find the perfect fabric collection.  As soon as I saw it, I knew the Winterberry collection was perfect for its re-release.  The pattern is available in both print and pdf digital download versions in my Etsy shop for your shopping convenience.

The pattern is designed specifically for panel sections that finish at 10" square.  The wall hanging finishes as 48" x 48" and will be perfect for my Christmas decor.  Of course, Ruby insisted on being part of the photo shoot!

The second project I designed is a set of pillows which I've named The Winterberry Pillow.  This pattern utilizes the sections of the panel that weren't used in the quilt and is available as a free download

These pillows are the perfect accent for your bed or on a sofa and can be easily made with leftover fabric from the wall hanging.  The touch of piping adds an elegant look.

As you know may already know, this project hop features Benartex, Kanvas and Contempo fabrics as well as 11 talented pattern designers. Each day, from July 20th through the 31st, will bring an amazing new project and fabric collection feature – all the fabrics are in stores now so you can get started on your projects right away and beat the holiday rush! Hang your stockings, play your favorite Christmas carols, make yourself a mug of frozen hot chocolate and enjoy!

Here is the list of all the designers participating, the fabric collection they are showcasing as well as the link to their project.

Boston Charms Quilt in Annie's Time-Saving Charm Quilts

If someone was trying to describe me as a quilt - this quilt would be it.

The colors and the style reflect my soul perfectly.   I love jewel tones - purples, bold blues, emerald greens and aqua blue all paired with a white background for a clean crisp look.

Traditional elements - four patches and a play off the Boston Commons layout but with a Modern Twist - some raw edge fusible appliqued circles.

If I have to define myself - Modern Traditional is me ....

Boston Charms is designed as a stash friendly quilt whether you work with precut 5" squares or you cut your own from your stash.  As you can imagine, my stash is busting with these colors!

Also used to make this quilt were Soft & Bright batting and Lite Steam-A-Seam 2 from The Warm Company.  I'm always thankful for their generous support of my business.

Annie's Time-Saving Charm Quilts book is available now for purchase and as a bonus, I have another quilt in it too - my Charmingly Mod quilt.

Charmingly Mod in Annie's Time-Saving Charm Quilts

I love getting quilts back from the publisher!  That means it is finally time for me to share the design with you!

If you aren't familiar with the publishing process, I create a design submission many months in advance and if I'm lucky, it is accepted by the editor, then I make the quilt and send it off to the publisher. There is gets styled and photographed, the final version of the pattern is edited and the book published.  About the same time the book is released, I get the quilt back to share it with you!

The quilt that I'm excited to share with you today is Charmingly Mod in Annie's Time-Saving Charm Quilts book.  This design features an applique technique instead of piecing inset seams which is much faster and easier.  Starting with precut 5" squares, this quilt is a dream to make!

Another exciting part of this quilt is that the fabrics I used are from the Bloom Collection by Tracy Wirth Designs for Paint Brush Studio.  Tracy and I are good friends and I absolutely love her fabrics!  You can check out more of her work at Tracy Wirth Designs or on IG @tracey_wirth_designs

Also used to make this quilt were Soft & Bright batting and Lite Steam-A-Seam 2 from The Warm Company.  I'm always thankful for their generous support of my business.
